missing person?

of all the things that are trending on my facebook page..
first it was ms listen
and now..

missing person..
its everywhere and of so many different people and races
what have the world become?

is it us civilians being more and more careless
or are the bad guys out there becoming more and more brave,violent, aggresive and daring?

i guess i should learn to appreciate when something else is trending
be it gangnam style or kpop
i'd rather see that than all these missing person post popping one by one..

im getting kinda scared too eventually..
i mean im a girl who takes public transport to uni in the morning :/ 

oh well...you see...
with this trend going
it seems something is very twisted about it.. :/

well this is purely my point of view only..

just now, just few minutes ago
i saw a post of a missing person shared by one of my peers
and shes a girl
mm  looks about 18~20+ in the photo
so i got curious and clicked the photo for further detail
and then as i was reading the comments of the photos
i find it kinda.. twisted
the way the friends of the original owner of the photo replied her

heres the comments:
friend: 'what again?'
owner: 'yes with different one'
friend: 'are you seriouss????'
friend: 'how come whats the story?'
owner: 'i am not joking'
owner: 'argument with dad and she ran out to avoid get beat , then once out no return'
friend: 'omg'
friend: 'dahell'
owner: 'pls help me share out, i want her to be home safely'
friend: 'facepalm'
friend: 'wow.. jie..just kidding right?'
friend: 'every time she goes that way. something big must have happen'
owner: 'her bf still searching' 

my interpretation: 
sounds like running away from home with the boyfriend? :/

sorry for judging but the way her friends replied..its different..
to me, thats not considered 'missing'.. thats running away from home :/ 
and if you already know there was an argument at home
there's a reason shes 'missing'

like the 6 year old kid...
thats missing person..the reason hes mising is still unknown

heard of the 16 year old indian boy who went missing?
that guy is apparently from same high school as me..
hes missing..
and the way people circulate it
people took it seriously.. even me
because the way others responded..
instict will tell me its real and i should help in whatever way i could
 
to me, with unknown reason, thats a missing person

and the twisted part is that..
the owner of the photo is with a facebook name of
Bi bi (insert surname) II

dont wanna be mentioning names now do i?
not judging her by name but.. you get the point ok? ><

seems legit?
my point is that... in my humble opinion, with this trend going in
there are people taking advantage over the attention.
im not saying all of the 'missing person' stuff is fake, i cant be too sure of it myself
but i'd help if i could...
but if there's people who is taking advantage of the attention
then that person is downright TWISTED
i cannot guarantee if shes taking advantage of it but the responds made me felt that way 

ok the relevance to the point is that
im sorry to say but..
i feel this person with the sister who ran away from home
is sharing the photo and asking ppl to share it is just trying to get attention for god-knows-what reason -_-

but just a post here so people can be a little more alert
not saying we should ignore it but
give sufficient amount of attention will do?

i'd learn in introduction to sociology that mass media has an effect called the
'narcotizing dysfunction'
in short, when people become too exposed to a certain kind of information, people can become too numb and wont even actually bother about the effects of the information or the information itself anymore..

something like that..
you get the point alright?

so i guess...
the best i could do for now is to pray for them, all of them :/
